The Russel Wright Easier Living collection is Russel Wright Studios first comprehensive furniture and decorative arts collection -- a collaborative effort between Consolidated Design, HK Designs and Russel Wright Studios. The initial offerings of this historic collection feature the streamline moderne styling of Russel’s seminal American Modern furniture and the biomorphic, surrealist inspired Russel Wright Pony Chair, all complemented by Russel’s celebrated spun metal creations.

In order to authentically interpret Russel Wright’s designs, associated designers were permitted special access to the Russel Wright archives and his National Historic home and studio, where the furniture and decorative designs from the 20^th Century industrial design icon’s drawing board resides today. This historically significant coordinated line includes an entire family of furniture and decorative spun metal accessories - dining, living room and bedroom pieces with all the integrated innovation and good design you’d expect from Russel Wright.

While the basic silhouettes are definitive 30s and 40s streamline moderne styling, the execution is decidedly 21st century while being completely true to the generations-old craftsman techniques incorporated into each piece. The total collection meticulously conforms to Wright’s original details and dedication to proportion, comfort and functionality. Carefully hand crafted to assure original factory requirements for fit and finish using modern materials and methods, each authentic reissue Russel Wright creation will find its own place in history. A masterpiece of complex sculptured proportion and detailing, the Pony Chair is truly a sublime hand-built icon of modern design. Now available for the first time since the original twelve were produced for the Museum of Modern Art in 1932. Accompanying the chair is a series of artful tables that are shaped to display the same sculptural flow as the Pony Chair.
